Après-midi de rencontres

PORT-VENDRES
Je voudrais tout d'abord remercier les participants de la
rencontre du 15 Mai dernier. Une fois de plus, cette rencontre
s'est révelée être riche en connaissance et nous avons tous appris quelque chose
sur la ville de Collioure, qui était le sujet choisi.
Pour la dernière rencontre avant l'été, j'ai souhaite
qu'elle soit spéciale. J'ai donc demandé à Mr Robert
Daidé, un vrai Port-Vendrais de souche de nous parler
de Port-vendres, son port et son
histoire. Il a été plus que ravi d'avoir la possibilité de pouvoir partager sa
passion sur Port-Vendres. 
La date sera le Mercredi 19 Juin, 15h.
Le lieu
sera defini ultérieurement et dependra du nombre de
particpants.
Je vous invite à me confirmer votre
venu afin que je puisse vous indiquer le lieu qui sera à PORT-VENDRES.

I first would like to
thanks all those who took part in the 15th may Events. Once
more, it was a rich in informations and we all learn something about
Collioure, which was the selected topic.
For the last event
before the summer, I wanted to be very special and I ask Monsieur Robert Daidé who is local person to talk
about Port-Vendres, its port and its story. He was more than
happy to share his knowledge about Port-Vendres.
I also ask "Le Donaine
Claire Mayol" based in Port-Vendres, to organise a wine
degustation for us. And to finish this nice afternoon, we will all site down and
share a soft drink.
This will take place Wednesday 19 June, 3pm.
The place is not definate yet and will depend on the response I have.

Ce qui était le plus extraordinaire, c était l'entre-aide
qui s'est créée entre les participants. Nous étions 15 avec un
bon mélange de nationalités. (Anglais, Américains, Danois, Suédois,
Colombien, Français et
Catalans)
Pour la prochaine rencontre qui aura lieu Mercredi 15 Mai, je vous propose de parler de
la Ville de Collioure. Prévenez-moi de votre venue et je vous
donnerai un choix de sujet encore disponible sur lequel je vous demanderai de
nous faire une présentation.
Si vous ne vous sentez pas à l'aise de le faire en Anglais,
je vous propose de prendre un RDV avec moi quelques jours avant la rencontre
afin que je vous aide et que je relève le vocabulaire
difficile. De cette façon, je pourrai créer un aide mémoire pour
les autres membres que je distribuerai avant la rencontre.

I first would like to
thanks all those who took part in my last April event. We all
talked about international and tasty recipes. I am glad to say that
every one took part and brought
their own touch to it.
But what was the most
amazing hing was the way everyone helped each other with a point of humour. We
were 15 with a good mix of nationality. (English,
American, Danish, Swedish, Colombian, French and Catalan)
For the next one, I
wanted to be special. It will take place Wednesday 15th
May, still 3pm. The subject will be Collioure
and YOU will be the one to tell us about this nice town. I hold
a list of subject, you will need to contact me and I will tell you the subject
available.
I can help you before
hand with the vocabulary, and we will need to check this before the
event. I will then establish a list of vocabulary word for the
other members.
If you are not
comfortable to write it in French, it doesn t matter,
as long as I have your vocabulary before hand I will translate for other
members.

This afternoon we talked
about cooking and share recipes.
Cette aprés-midi là nous avons parlé
cuisine et echangé des recettes.
New for 2012
Eve's events are changing locations this year. They won't be held in a café any more, but we'll be meetting at members' places. The hostess will provide tea/coffe and biscuits. She will be exempt from paying the 5€ participation.
During the afternoon we will talk about the subject you will have chosen before the end of the previous sessions.
Nouveau en 2012
J'ai apporté un petit changement aux rencontres cette année. Elles n'auront plus lieu dans les cafés mais chez les membres qui le désirent. L'hotesse fournira le thé/café et biscuits. Elle sera exonérée de payer les 5€ de participation.
Durant ces rencontres nous discuterons du sujets choisis au préalable.
